New Years Resolution

One of my New Years Resolution was to be more creative OUTSIDE of school and work. I know I get to create ALL day long - but sometimes it becomes cumbersome because they are too corporate or have to many guidelines. 

Therefore ... I've been finding outlets to be a little more 'free' - so, I plan to restock Etsy, keep taking pictures for Sweet Shot Tuesday. However, I have also found another great website!!

 

Talk about cool - just like tinyprints, shutterfly, and hello little one, consumers have a great selection of holiday cards, invitations and announcements to choose from. But the BEST part is that they have the Minted Design Challenge!   (Upon submitting designs, they ask for your web address - so I better get to work on that, too) 

How it works? Minted announces a design challenge with a theme and you can submit designs. (they have slight design limitations)  If one of them is chosen, you get 5% back on all sales!  So that's a nice little present. Users can also critique and vote for designs as well. If Minted REALLY likes you, they might even ask you to be a designer for them. (Yea, I'm getting ahead of myself, I know)

But hey - it's a fun little challenge with a fun possible outcome. Even if they aren't chosen, I will still have designs to use later & put in my portfolio! So - be on the lookout for a link to vote :)
