It's a Jack Cart

Jack is sooo spoiled! His daddy made him his very own cart to tow behind the golf cart at tailgates (& in the neighborhood...).

Here is a video from a lap around the parking lot ... can't decide if the cart, jack or jack + the cart was the hit. Either way, Jack loves it and that's all that matters. Just don't let Lindsay take him for a ride. :) (Bonk!)

Monkey + Monkey

Monkey Joooooooes! Statesboro is moving up - thank goodness! We now have Sunday Funday for the Neal's! And our little monkey loves it! He can climb each and every inflatable there - including the ones NOT in the toddler zone. . .

Your call -- did he have fun or what??

Post-Hack

Following Jack's PTSD (Post Traumatic Scissor Disaster), we went to visit John Michael and his new bride, Katie! I am pretty sure Jack had a great time - if you can't tell by that face. All accessories by Jack, not the ladies! Either he's trying to make up for his haircut or he knows how to rock it. :)

The Haircut.

Thee Haircut.

Keebler did a wonderful job styling pre-scissors. The mullet was
loooooong. Below you will see how bad it was. :/

(I think Jack is saying ... "oh, shit.")

Jack + James

We had the honor of meeting James Wyatt Parker in November! What a precious little man. Ann & Matt did a great job!

Jack + James ... what could have gone horribly wrong...
in seconds all of you mother's of (close) two's ran through my head ...
Alyson, Melissa, Christine, Katie - high fives to you, that one moment alone was enough stress for me.

Jack was very interested in James, however. Here, Keeb is loving on some James!

Exploring

Jack and I explored the backyard while Bryan put up a deer stand. (We're getting a little red, yes.) So, I put Jack in some faux 'blaze' - I love fall.

Jack + Nathan

It's all about friends these days and we're so thankful Jack has so many! Nathan's nearly a year (January) and it's great to see that play 'gap' get smaller between the two boys! (thank goodness Jack has a boy to play with... with EIGHT girls at school!!)

Finally, can Jack shove food in someone else's mouth!!!
He's learned from the best ... Jaxx, Sophia, Adriana ...

Jack + Mia

Well, Mia's not far even though she's not in Jack's class anymore. Mia's parents (& grandma, too) were gracious to keep an eye on Jack so mommy could go to work!

Pretty friggin' cute, huh?? Best Friends Forever.

Bia Home ....

We found out yesterday that Jack's little friend Mia is leaving school to stay at home with her mommy and new little baby sister. Although I have not told Jack this devastating news ... maybe he already knows?

Jackanese

Jack is starting to talk - a lot. It's been a lot of fun deciphering his Jackanese and listening to that little mind work. Here are a couple of recent conversations:

  1. I dropped Jack off at school. We had a great morning & he was in a great mood; we took his coat off, washed his hands, he gave me a hug and ran over to his teacher.
Jack: "Mama ... (whimper, sniff, sniff) hurt..."
Ms. Adrienne: "What Jack? What did your mommy do?"
Jack: "Mama hurt me ... (rolls up sleeve, massaging his arm) Mama BITE!"
    [ Moms jaw drops ]

  2. I'm having a hard time finding Jack Christmas presents. At school, they even say he loves everything and doesn't really have a favorite toy. So I thought I'd ask him myself:
Mom: "Jack! What's your favorite toy at school?"
    Jack: "BIAAAAAA!"
[ Mia is one of his little besties at school. I am sure her daddy would love to know this ... ]

#1 Eagles Fan Pre Hair Cut

Best Stadium, Ever - by the way.
Jack can successfully spot a football player, game, ball, goalpost, field, etc and say "FU-BALL!!" He can also throw his hand into the air and say, "gooooo E-ALES!"

Good Boy, Jack. Good Boy.

(he's just the cutest, isn't he?)

Trimming the Tree

It might have been Baby's First Christmas last year ...
but THIS year is the Family's First Christmas!!

It's a ... Family Tradition ...
& Jack is super impressed.

Jack being a great little elf and helping trim the tree.
He had a hard time understanding this wasn't one great big toy, though.

Jack's response to Daddy when he told him, "Jack - you can only LOOK at the ornaments."
As Lindsay would say - "oh nice, a smartass already at 22 months."

Today, while I was getting Jack's dinner ready, I overheard him talking to one of his Little People. I was interested - and snuck in so I could hear better. Yep - Jack was holding his 1.5" little plastic toy up showing him our Christmas tree! Looks like someone is proud of his work!

Jack: Mumble, mumble, mumble ... LIGHTS! mumble, mumble ... ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, ball, BALL, BALL, BALL, BALL, BALL..... STAR!

Mama: Jack, those are NOT balls!

Happy Veterans Day

We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude. In war, there are no unwounded soldiers. The willingness of America's veterans to sacrifice for our country has earned them our lasting gratitude.

I love this picture of my worn out husband. It speaks volumes of what he has done for our country - daily. We will never understand the things he has experienced - but his eyes tell his story, and so do the medals he wears on his chest.

Although Bryan is home from war, he continues to fight for our freedom by providing our soldiers heading to war with his years of experience and knowledge. What many of you don't know, is that even though he is stateside, he is gone most of the time making sure our soldiers are qualified to fight and come home. I am happy that he is safe, but I am sad he is always gone - and so is Jack. But - we can't deny that we are very proud to be his family and who he comes home to.

And, always - thank you to the Veterans we hold near and dear to our heart.
