Sweet Shot Tuesday :: Sew Many Machines!

I came across a superb window display (AllSaints) - highly impressive!! I did my best to snag a picture without a tripod in a busy, dim mall. I wish I would have had success in getting a different angle.

Sweet Shot Tuesday :: Park Day

The weather has been wacky down here - warm, cool, hot, freezing, cold ... but the kiddos still love playing at the park - no matter the temperature!

Extra Special Birthday

Another Birthday Wish! Not only did Jack turn two yesterday, but my Grandma, (G'ma to me, GG'ma to Jack) turned 81! Her and I had a nice long conversation and Jack even wished her a Happy Birthday! We love you!

Happy Birthday, Jack!

I'll say it again, "Happy Birthday to my Greatest Accomplishment!" I have never been more proud of something and so in love at the same time. Each day is a new story. Each day is a new Jack. Each day gives me something to be even more proud of.

Bryan and I reminded each other that we needed to take a picture of Jack with Hippo for his 2nd birthday so we could compare with his others.

Jack's 1st Year.

Randomly, this morning Jack asked for his Hippo on the way to work. Hippo is not a friend that we ever ask for. It's usually Monkey, Turtle, Bear or Alligator. He knew it was picture time!

Jack's 2nd Birthday

Today has been an interesting day so far. Starting off with a do or die situation at 3am. Jack woke up and wanted animal crackers  ... as in, "Mama. Animal Crackers, Now." So, to keep from a middle of the night tantrum, we had a snack and napped on the couch until it was time to go to work.

However, the minute Jack found out it was time to go to school, he had a complete meltdown. On his birthday, no less. It broke my heart. But, I dropped him off, ripped him off of my leg and went to work. Around 11 I got a call from his school - he was still crying, still melting down, still throwing tantrums ... "He's just not Jack today," they said, "He's never acted like this before, we're worried something is really wrong."

So I went to check on him. I peered through the window and they were right - unconsoleable Jack. So in I swoop to save the day. Immediately, crying ceased; with a grin on his face, I picked Jack up. Concerned, rubbing his back, his teacher asked, "Jack... is that what you wanted? Did you want to spend your birthday with your mama?"

"Yea."

--

With tear in my eye, Jack skipped out the door and we headed home. "Jack - what do you want to eat for lunch?"

"Uhhh, Cheesiebuga."

And we did just that.

Sweet Shot Tuesday: Welcome to Jack's Circus!

Over the weekend we celebrated Jack's 2nd Birthday! It was a circus theme - which is a fitting metaphor of the Life of a Neal, Georgia edition. This isn't my sweetest shot - but it is Sweet Shot Tuesday and I thought the cake was pretty sweet.

More to come.
