Bryan and I reminded each other that we needed to take a picture of Jack with Hippo for his 2nd birthday so we could compare with his others.

Randomly, this morning Jack asked for his Hippo on the way to work. Hippo is not a friend that we ever ask for. It's usually Monkey, Turtle, Bear or Alligator. He knew it was picture time!

| Jack's 2nd Birthday |
Today has been an interesting day so far. Starting off with a do or die situation at 3am. Jack woke up and wanted animal crackers ... as in, "Mama. Animal Crackers, Now." So, to keep from a middle of the night tantrum, we had a snack and napped on the couch until it was time to go to work.
However, the minute Jack found out it was time to go to school, he had a complete meltdown. On his birthday, no less. It broke my heart. But, I dropped him off, ripped him off of my leg and went to work. Around 11 I got a call from his school - he was still crying, still melting down, still throwing tantrums ... "He's just not Jack today," they said, "He's never acted like this before, we're worried something is really wrong."
So I went to check on him. I peered through the window and they were right - unconsoleable Jack. So in I swoop to save the day. Immediately, crying ceased; with a grin on his face, I picked Jack up. Concerned, rubbing his back, his teacher asked, "Jack... is that what you wanted? Did you want to spend your birthday with your mama?"
"Yea."
--
With tear in my eye, Jack skipped out the door and we headed home. "Jack - what do you want to eat for lunch?"
"Uhhh, Cheesiebuga."
And we did just that.
